ABOUT ME

Ken Voorhees, LCSW

MY PRACTICE

I am committed to providing you with excellent service individually tailored to meet your unique needs and situation. In my experience, the process of therapy works best if we work as a team and focus on specific goals. It is important that you be involved in setting goals for therapy and that you make progress towards these goals. As a therapist, I am practical and pragmatic in helping my clients develop a treatment plan that will not only provide them effective relief from symptoms, but one that also can help them develop a new vision for living more creative and fully realized lives. Towards this end, I ask that you come to therapy committed to working together toward change. I believe that, above all else, it is the therapeutic alliance and ongoing treatment relationship that provide the necessary healing and movement toward accomplishing therapeutic goals.

It is essential that you find a psychotherapist with whom you feel comfortable discussing the important details of your life experience. Please feel free to contact me for a free and confidential telephone consultation. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about my therapy style and training as well as provide you with an initial sense of who I am as a helping professional. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss whether we would work effectively together.
